Words and works of Contemporary Impressionist Keith M Ramsey

KMR FINE ARTS: 2011 Porfolio Review & Samples of Work

Contemporary Impressionist,  Renaissance Man and evolving fine artist is widely collected, and has exhibited extensively in Virginia in group and solo shows. Since receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998, he has been working steadily toward his artistic vision of images on canvas, wood panel and paper.

The unique images are created from influences of environment, introspective thought and political perspective.

CITYSCAPES IN NOIR: By using shadow, light, and color, the artwork attempts to draw the viewer to envision  themselves within the painting before them. Inspired by EDWARD HOPPER, MARTIN LEWIS & EDVARDMUNCH, among others, the paintings attempt to combine color and shadow to create perspectives reminiscent of 1930′s films in noir.
